what students will do

i have four 'introduction to criminology classes' this semester. last week while discussing various ways of measuring crime, students developed their own victimization and self-report crime surveys. questions like 'have you been the victim of a hit and run?' and 'have you smoked marijuana in the last 30 days?' each class came up with 25 questions of each kind and then answered them. though there were creative measures taken in each class, there was some overlap in the questions that were asked.
