You tend to be grounded when it comes to romance. Sure, you can fall hard... but only for someone you've gotten to know. And once you're in love, you can be a total romantic goofball...yesterday, my daughter told me of how her teacher mentioned that valentine's day wasn't a holiday. i could tell this surprised her, but i had to agree. perhaps i'm bitter because nothing special ever happens in my life on valentine's day. the year before last i exchanged [very late] christmas gifts with a girlfriend and the kids. last year i took my daughter out to dinner [i decided i would try to be normal]. though i am dating someone this 'holiday,' i have to work all day on monday. so this year is out, too.
But you'd never admit it to your friends!
