liberal: adj. Not limited to or by established, traditional, orthodox, or authoritarian attitudes, views, or dogmas; free from bigotry.
a student turned me on [again] to ratemyprofessors.com. the entries are nice as everone liked both me and the class. however, a warning was given [to other students] that i was very liberal. now i make no accusations to the contrary, but it is hard to even appear as anything but a liberal when discussing the problems in the criminal justice system. or issues of poverty and a lack of healthcare in society. just because you care about social problems does not automatically make you liberal. does it?
