around the net and thoughts of late:
Lena Baker, convicted in 1945 for shooting her boss and then executed, was pardoned. a man she worked for threatened to shoot her when she grabbed the gun and shot him in self-defense. she was black, her trial lasted a day, and she was convicted by an all-white, all-male jury. now, 60 years after her death, she is free.
i was already thinking about wardrobe [something i don't generally care much for, except now it is back-to-school time and i will be standing in front of 150 'kids' each day] and then i read this. i've thought about being young and teaching. do i dress like a 'teacher' or do i dress my 'age?' i always end up dressing like me, just without the flip flops [most days], which more resembles my age. students relate to me easier, especially considering the subject matter.
this is a really ugly dog. really ugly.
good ole bush is reading the history of salt [not actual book title, that is Salt: A World History] this summer. that's funny. like he has nothing better to do. not to mention a bizarre coincidence between salt and oil.
the BTK killer’s chilling methods heard in court today.
and someone found this page by searching for 'jessicas bedroom.' wonder what they were thinking?
