a sales tax break for VA

this is awesome:

The [Virginia] House of Delegates unanimously approved legislation today to suspend the state sales tax on school supplies, clothing and computers for three days each August ... It now goes to the Senate, where similar legislation to establish a seven-day sales tax holiday is pending in the Finance Committee.

i've never heard of this before, but thirteen other states and DC have similiar back-to-school sales tax breaks.
