georgia school holds first integrated prom. i heard this story sometime this week while i was laid up. i still cannot believe it.

this is supposed to be the biggest summer ever for the movies, with 17 sequels coming out. i am so not excited.

a SC man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to having sex and impregnating a 9-year-old girl, his stepdaughter, actually. and for some reason, this is not called rape.

lastly, here's an interesting quotation: "Fewer than 3 in 10 people ages 17 to 24 are fully qualified to join the Army. That means they have a high school diploma, have met aptitude test score requirements and fitness levels, and would not be barred for medical reasons, their sexual orientation or their criminal histories." uh, oh. what are we gonna do now?
