the military's gay bomb

here's the original post i read:
Thirteen years ago, the U.S. Air Force had a plan, all based on one STRONG theory: It would be hard for an enemy soldier to fight us if all he could think about was the firm, powerful, manly... yet gentle... taboo touch of his fellow soldier.

--So, in 1994, the Air Force considered plans for a GAY BOMB... a bomb that they'd drop on enemy forces that would, temporarily, make them OBSESSED with gay sex!!!

--The proposal for the bomb was created by the Air Force's Wright Laboratory in Dayton, Ohio, as part of an effort to develop non-lethal weapons. The bomb would be filled with a chemical... they didn't say which... that would make soldiers attracted to each other.

--The lab asked for $7.5 MILLION to develop the weapon. The Air Force decided against developing the bomb, though, and turned down the proposal.
this is nuts. i wanted to look around to verify that this was right. perhaps i am behind on this one, but this is news to me! here's another source that reports it, from friday.
