i saw this on the news a few weeks ago and now there's an article in the pilot: "Police are distributing 10,000 decks of 'Hampton Roads Crime Line Cold Cases' playing cards that they hope will bring in tips on some of the area's most grisly unsolved cases."
each deck "features a photo and description of 52 unsolved crimes from Virginia Beach to Williamsburg. Fifty are homicides, one is an arson at Princess Anne High School from 1995, and one is a James City County person who disappeared in 1987."
the cards are going to inmates in regional jails. man, how i would love to have one of these decks. imagine the conversation that could be stimulated in class!
