a student said to me yesterday, "this is by far my favorite class."
this is especially nice to hear in intro classes, as this was. i've been told many times that students changed their majors (to either sociology of criminal justice, depending) after my class. not only is this a compliment to me personally and to the discipline, it's recruitment to the field.
