something's going on here

i don't believe this at all: 75 Percent of Oklahoma High School Students Can't Name the First President.

i will not disagree that some portions of our public school system are failing. i see college students all the time who have deficiencies in even the simplest things, writing, in particular. but there has to be something else going on with these results. even small children know many of these basic things, such as who george washington is. perhaps they don't know much, but they know him as the first president!
